Qohir Rasulzoda ( tg, Қоҳир Расулзода and fa, قاهر رسول‌زاده; born Abduqohir Abdurasulovich Nazirov, tg, Абдуқохир Абдурасулович Назиров; russian: Абдукохир Абдурасулович Назиров; born 8 March 1959) is a Tajik politician who is serving as the Prime Minister of Tajikistan since 23 November 2013. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan. Political background He was born as Abduqohir Abdurasulovich Nazirov on 8 March 1961 in the town of Khistevarz, Kistakuz in Ghafurov District of Sughd Region of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic, Tajik SSR. In 1982, he graduated from the Agricultural University of Tajikistan, specializing in hydraulic engineering. Government Of Tajikistan
The politics of Tajikistan takes place in a framework of a presidential republic, whereby the President is both head of state and head of government, and of a multi-party system. Legislative power is vested in both the executive branch and the two chambers of parliament. Political background The August 1991 putsch widened the rift. Frustrated by daily demonstrations in front of the Supreme Soviet and the erosion of the government's authority, the regime appeared to support the Moscow putschists. Kadriddin Aslonov, then the chairman of the Supreme Soviet of Tajikistan, went on record in defence of the (Soviet) status quo when complaining to a journalist of Izvestia that the country is falling into chaos. This statement encapsulated the feeling of the republican leadership. Support for the putschists exasperated the already galvanised intelligentsia. Jamshid Khilolovich Karimov (Tajik: Ҷамшед Хилолович Каримов, fa, جمشید کریم‌اف; born 4 August 1940, Dushanbe) is a Tajikistani politician. He was the fifth Prime Minister of Tajikistan between 2 December 1994 and 8 February 1996. He is a cousin of former President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov. Abdumalik Abdullayevich Abdullajanov (russian: Абдулладжанов, Абдумалик Абдуллаевич; tg, Абдумалик Абдуллоҷонов; born January 1, 1949) is a Tajikistani politician, born in Leninabad. He served as the third Prime Minister of Tajikistan from September 21, 1992, to December 18, 1993. He resigned as Prime Minister to become Tajikistan's first ambassador to Russia.
