Primal Fear (band)
Primal Fear is a German power metal band formed in 1997 by Ralf Scheepers (vocals, ex-Gamma Ray) and Mat Sinner (bass and vocals, Sinner). Sinner and Scheepers formed the band after Scheepers was not hired as Rob Halford's replacement in Judas Priest. History Primal Fear was founded in October 1997 by singer Ralf Scheepers and Mat Sinner. Scheepers and Sinner have been constants in the heavy metal scene before the band was founded. Ralf Scheepers sang in the bands Tyran Pace, F.B.I. and the internationally successful band Gamma Ray. After a gig with his Judas Priest cover band Just Priest in which Mat Sinner and Tom Naumann helped out the idea arose to found Primal Fear. They signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast Records in late 1997. Their debut album '' Primal Fear'' was released in February 1998 and entered the German LP charts at place 48 thus making it one of the highest chart entries of a debut album in German metal. Esslingen is a (district) in the centre of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Rems-Murr, Göppingen (district), Göppingen, Reutlingen (district), Reutlingen, Böblingen (district), Böblingen and the district-free city Stuttgart. Until 15 October 1964, the district's name was officially written as Landkreis Eßlingen. History The district dates back to the Oberamt Esslingen, which was created when the previously free imperial city of Esslingen am Neckar became part of Württemberg in 1803. It was changed several times in the course of history. From 1810 to 1818, it belonged to the ''Landvogtei Rothenberg'' and from 1818 until it was dissolved in 1924 to the ''Neckarkreis''. In 1934 the ''Oberamt'' was renamed ''Kreis Eßlingen'' and the now termed ''Landkreis Eßlingen'' was enlarged by several municipalities of the dissolved ''Oberamt Stuttgart'' and the Kreise ''Schorndorf, Kirchheim unter Teck and Göppingen'' on 1 October 1938. ''Unbreakable'' is the ninth studio album by the German heavy metal band Primal Fear, and the first album with guitarist Alex Beyrodt. The album was released on 20 January 2012 in Europe, and 24 January in North America. Recording began at House of Music studios in Winterbach, Germany on 10 July 2011.
