Primal (TV Series)
''Primal'' (also known as ''Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal'') is an American adult animated action horror television series created and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network's late night programming block Adult Swim. ''Primal'' is set in a deliberately anachronistic vision of prehistory, portraying dinosaurs, prehistoric hominids, and Iron Age ''Homo sapiens'' as coexisting within the same barbaric time period and incorporating many elements of fantasy, horror, action, and adventure. The first 10-episode season of ''Primal'' was split into two 5-episode parts. The series premiered on Adult Swim on October 8, 2019, with the remaining episodes releasing daily that same week. Samuel Barnard Register (born June 16, 1969) is an American television producer, animator, and businessman. He is the president of Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. Career Formerly Vice President of Cartoon Network, Register was the brain behind CartoonNetwork.com, which was launched in 1998. Prehistory, also known as pre-literary history, is the period of human history between the use of the first stone tools by hominins 3.3 million years ago and the beginning of recorded history with the invention of writing systems. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video.
