Giochi Preziosi S.p.A. also known as Gruppo Giochi Preziosi (Giochi Preziosi Group) is an Italian company that produces toys and TV series based on their toys. They work in association with Marathon Media and Mondo TV. Giochi Preziosi is the principal owner of the Gormiti and Dinofroz franchises and license toys for other companies such as Marvel Comics, Power Rangers, Ben 10 and Winx Club toys. In 2006, they started to produce TV series based on their toys. The first series was Gormiti: The Lords of Nature Returns!. They have also produced video games based on the Gormiti TV series for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Alessandro Preziosi
Alessandro Preziosi (born 19 April 1973) is an Italian actor. Biography Son of lawyers, Preziosi was born and raised in Avellino, Italy, later moving to nearby Vomero, Naples. He completed his classical studies at the Liceo Umberto I of Naples, graduated in law from the University Federico II of Naples (with the maximum of the votes) and became assistant in tax law at the University of Salerno, later attending the Academy of Amateur Dramatics of Milan. He was noticed by director Antonio Calenda who cast him in role of Laertes in Hamlet. Amedeo Preziosi
Amedeo Preziosi (2 December 1816 – 27 September 1882) was a Maltese painter and traveler known for his watercolours and prints of the Balkans, Ottoman Empire, and Romania. Biography Amedeo Preziosi was born in 1816 to a noble family in Malta. His father, Giovanni Francesco Preziosi, had high-level functions in the local administration and represented the Maltese people at the negotiations of the Treaty of Amiens in 1802, while his mother, Margareta née Reynaud, was of French origin. Amedeo, the first child of the Preziosi family, was baptised in the Porto Salvo Church in Valletta and given the name Aloysius-Rosarius-Amadeus-Raymundus-Andreas. His younger brother Leandro Preziosi became one of the pioneers of early photography in Malta. Donald Preziosi
Donald Anthony Preziosi (born January 12, 1941) is an American art historian. He is Emeritus Professor of Art History at the University of California, Los Angeles. In August 2007, he became the MacGeorge Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He is a past president of the Semiotic Society of America (1985). In his writing he combines disciplines as diverse as intellectual history, critical theory and museology. His 1998 book ''The Art of Art History: A Critical Anthology'' is considered 'the most widely used English-language introduction to art history'. At UCLA, Professor Preziosi developed the art history critical theory program and the UCLA museum studies program. At Oxford, he held the Slade Professorship of Fine Arts in 2001, where he delivered a series of lectures entitled ''Seeing Through Art History''.
