Village

Kosovo

District Of Prizren
The Prizren District (Albanian: ''Rajoni i Prizrenit''; Turkish: ''Prizren ili'') is one of the seven districts of Kosovo. Its seat is in the city of Prizren. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of 331,670 and an area of 2,024 square km (around 20% of the total area of Kosovo). Albanians form the majority of the district (85%). However, the district of Prizren is home to the biggest Bosniak and Turkish population in Kosovo, who make around 10% of the district's total population. A municipality ( sq, komuna, sr, / ) is the basic administrative division in Kosovo and constitutes the only level of power in local governance. There are 38 municipalities in Kosovo; 27 of which have an Albanian ethnic majority, 10 Serb and 1 Turkish. After the 2013 Brussels Agreement, signed by the governments of Kosovo and Serbia, an agreement was made to create a Community of Serb Municipalities, which would operate within Kosovo's legal framework. Brezovica ( sq, Brezovicë; sr-cyr, Брезовица) is a settlement in the Štrpce municipality in Kosovo, known for its Brezovica ski resort. According to the 2011 Census, Brezovica's total population is 68. Brezovica is one of the most visited winter tourist destinations in Kosovo. The ski resort area is ideally situated on the north and northwest-facing slopes of the Sharr Mountains National Park. Sharr Mountains National Park (Kosovo)
The Sharr Mountains National Park ( sq, Parku Kombëtar Malet e Sharrit; sr, Национални парк Шар Планине, Nacionalni park Šar Planine) is a national park in southwestern Kosovo. It covers , centered on the northern Sharr Mountains, a mountain range which also extends into northeastern Albania and northwestern North Macedonia.
