Prestatyn North
Prestatyn North is the name of one of the electoral wards of the town of Prestatyn, Denbighshire, Wales. It covers the northwest part of the town, either side of Victoria Road close to the beach. Prestatyn East ward lies to the east, while Rhyl East lies to the west. According to the 2011 UK Census the population of the ward was 5,716 (with 4,624 of voting age). County council elections The ward elects three county councillors to Denbighshire County Council and, at the May 2017 election, the seats were won by two Welsh Conservative candidates and one from Welsh Labour. In the past the ward has changed hands between Labour (who held the ward between 2012 and 2017), Conservatives and Independent councillors. Point FM
Point FM was a community radio station serving northern Denbighshire and eastern parts of Conwy County Borough in North Wales. Owned and operated by Radio Elwy Ltd, the station broadcast locally on 103.1 FM and online. Point FM's programming largely consisted of music and talk output alongside local news features and information, specialist music output, sports coverage and live event outside broadcasts with automated music during non-programming hours. Apart from national news bulletins produced by Sky News Radio, most of the station's output was produced and presented locally. The 2017 Denbighshire County Council election took place in Denbighshire, Wales, on 4 May 2017 to elect members of Denbighshire Council. This was the same day as other 2017 United Kingdom local elections. The previous elections took place in 2012 and the next all-council elections took place in 2022. Liverpool Bay
Liverpool Bay is a bay of the Irish Sea between northeast Wales, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside to the east of the Irish Sea. The bay is a classic example of a region of freshwater influence. Liverpool Bay has historically suffered from reduced oxygen content from prior massive discharges of sewage sludge, according to C. Michael Hogan. The rivers Alt, Clwyd, Dee, Ribble and Mersey drain into the bay. The bay is littered with wrecks and has many dive sites. The bay also contains several oil and gas fields including the Douglas Complex, with a combined daily capacity (January 2008) of 60,000 barrels.
