President Of The United Nations Economic And Social Council
The president of the United Nations Economic and Social Council is the presiding officer of that body. The position voted for by members of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on a yearly basis. Election The Economic and Social Council elects a new bureau, a president and four vice-presidents, at the first meeting of the new session of the council, typically in July. These officials are chosen at large from among the representatives of the council's members for one-year terms. Members of bureau hold office until their successors are elected by the council at the next session. According to the rules of procedure of the council, the election of members to the bureau includes special regard for equitable geographic rotation among the United Nations regional groups. Foss Shanahan
Foss Shanahan (10 June 1910 – 13 September 1964) was a New Zealand diplomat and public servant. Biography Shanahan was born on 10 June 1910 at Alexandra. He was educated at the Christian Brothers' Boys' School in Dunedin and Waitaki Boys' High School, passing the public service entrance examination in 1926. He joined the public service in 1928 and studied part-time at the University of Otago and Victoria University of Wellington, graduating from Victoria with a Master of Laws (LLM) in 1936. He started in the Customs Department, then in 1939 joined the Prime Minister’s Department, in the section that became the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Francesco Paolo Fulci
Francesco Paolo Fulci (19 March 1931 – 21 January 2022) was an Italian diplomat who served as Ambassador to the United Nations. Education Fulci graduated with honours in law in 1953 from the University of Messina and obtained a master's degree in comparative law at Columbia University, New York, where he studied as a Fulbright scholar from 1954 to 1955. He later received the diploma from The Hague Academy of International Law, and attended the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, from 1955 to 1956. Ivory Coast, also known as Côte d'Ivoire, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country on the southern coast of West Africa. Ahmed Kamal (born 9 April 1938) is a retired Pakistani diplomat, most noted for his work at the United Nations. He served as a professional diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for close to forty years until his retirement in 1999. Simeon Aké (4 January 1932 in Bingerville – 8 January 2003 in Abidjan) was an Ivorian politician. Simeon Aké studied law in the University of Dakar in Senegal, and gained his certificate in 1957. Aké began his political career as Director of Protocol of State in from 1959 until 1960, when Côte d'Ivoire gained independence.
