President Of The Chamber Of Deputies (Czech Republic)
The President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic ( cs, Předseda Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky), also referred to as the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, is an elected presiding member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. Since 10 November 2021, the president has been Markéta Pekarová Adamová of TOP09. The president shall: * Represent the Chamber of Deputies in external affairs * Nominate the Prime Minister to be appointed by the President of the republic in compliance with the second sentence of Section 4, Article 68 of the Constitution * Accept the oath of the members of the Supreme Audit Office * Forward all draft bills and all drafts of international treaties that have to be approved by the Parliament to the Senate after their passing/ratification by the Chamber of Deputies * Forward all passed bills to the President of the republic for signing * Forward all passed bills to the Prime Minister for signing * ...

The Chamber of Deputies, officially the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic ( cs, Poslanecká sněmovna Parlamentu České republiky), is the lower house of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The chamber has 200 seats and deputies are elected for four-year terms using the party-list proportional representation system with the D'Hondt method. Since 2002, there are 14constituencies, matching the Czech regions. A Cabinet is answerable to the Chamber of Deputies and the Prime Minister stays in office only as long as they retain the support of a majority of its members. The quorum is set by law to one third (67) of elected deputies. Any changes to the constitutional laws must be approved by at least 60 percent of the Chamber of Deputies. The seat of the Chamber of Deputies is the Thun Palace in Malá Strana, Prague. Markéta Pekarová Adamová
Markéta Pekarová Adamová (born 2 October 1984) is a Czech politician who is the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies since 2021 and leader of TOP 09 since 2019. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague in 2008, and an engineer title from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2011. She has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2013. She defeated Tomáš Czernin in a TOP 09 leadership election on 24 November 2019, with 53% of the votes. Milan Uhde
Milan Uhde (born 28 July 1936 in Brno) is a Czech playwright and politician. He is a member of the Civic Democratic Party. TOP 09 (name derived from cs, Tradice Odpovědnost Prosperita, lit=Tradition Responsibility Prosperity) is a liberal-conservative political party in the Czech Republic, led by Markéta Pekarová Adamová.
