Premyer-Ministr
Premyer-Ministr (russian: Премьер-министр, lit. ''Prime minister'') is a Russian musical group. The idea behind the band was to form a boy band, though not especially for teenagers. Four men came together to form Premier Ministr in 1997. Their first real success came in 2000 with the remake of a very popular Russian tune, "Oriental Song". It became a huge hit in Russia. In 2001 one of the members, Dmitry Lanskoy, left the group for a solo career and was replaced. Premyer-Ministr was composed of Jean Grigoriev-Milimerov (Moscow, December 5, 1979), Peter Jason (Moscow, September 9, 1976), Vyacheslav Bodolika (Ungeny, Moldova, June 18, 1977) and Marat Chanyshev (Moscow, March 25, 1975). In 2002, Russian television invited the group to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn. Northern Girl (Prime Minister Song)
Russia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn, Estonia. The Russian entry was selected internally by the Russian broadcaster Russian Public Television (ORT). Prime Minister represented Russia with the song "Northern Girl", which placed 10th and scored 55 points at the contest. Before Eurovision Internal selection On 17 January 2002, ORT announced a submission period for interested artists and composers to submit their entries until 26 February 2002. The broadcaster received 11,742 submissions at the conclusion of the deadline, including entries from Arkady Ukupnik, Diana Gurtskaya and Vitas. 25 entries were shortlisted from the received submissions and a jury panel selected the Russian entry. The Eurovision Song Contest 2002 was the 47th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Tallinn, Estonia, following the country's victory at the with the song "Everybody" by Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Eesti Televisioon (ETV), the contest was held at the Saku Suurhall on 25 May 2002. Amarkhuu Borkhuu ( mn, Борхүүгийн Амархүү, Borkhuugiin Amarkhuu; born 1 July 1987) is a pop singer and actor of Mongolian origin residing in Buryatia, Russia. "Ne ver', ne boysia" () also known as "Ne ver', ne boisia, i ne prosi" (, "Don't believe, don't fear and don't ask") is a song by t.A.T.u., which they performed at Eurovision Song Contest 2003 representing . Production The title of the song is based on a Russian prison saying, which entered Russian mainstream culture due to Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's book ''The Gulag Archipelago''. The term has also been interpreted as a reference to the repression faced by the LGBTQ community. According to Australian-born Mars Lasar, the song was produced by him and Ivan Shapovalov by sending MP3s over the internet to each other, with Lasar in the U.S. and Shapovalov in Russia. Mumiy Troll (russian: Му́мий Тро́лль ) is a Russian rock music, rock group, founded in 1983 in music, 1983 in Vladivostok by vocalist and songwriter Ilya Lagutenko (). The band's name translates as "mummy troll" and is a pun on ''Moomins, Mumintroll'', the children's books series by Tove Jansson. Career Ilya Lagutenko founded Mumiy Troll in Vladivostok on 16 October 1983. In 1985, the group recorded their first album, ''Novaya luna aprelya'', which was distributed as ''magnitizdat''. Mumiy Troll disbanded when Lagutenko was conscripted into the Russian navy. In 1990, they briefly reunited and released their second album, ''Delay Yu-Yu'', on tape.
