Premiere Entertainment Productions was a Philippine film production company. It was among the country's major film companies, along with Sampaguita Pictures, LVN Pictures and Lea Productions. It now operates as an investment holding company. History The film company was established in 1946 by the late Dr. Ciriaco Santiago and his wife Adela Hermoso as Premiere Productions. ''Probinsyana'' was its maiden movie, first seen at the defunct Dalisay Theater (along Avenida) on August 13. Premiere won Maria Clara Best Picture trophies for ''Kamay ni Satanas'' (1950) and ''Sisa'' (1951). The 29th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay, Philippines, from December 25, 2003 to January 8, 2004. Ruben Deloso Torres (born September 10, 1941 in Botolan, Zambales) is a politician in the Philippines. He goes by the nom de guerre "''Kadre''" which he was known as a leftist during martial law period. Life Torres was known as a student activist, then a leftist leader during and after martial law. Under President Corazon Aquino, he served as an undersecretary in the Department of Labor and Employment from 1989 to 1990. Afterwards he was promoted to full secretary, serving from 1990 to 1992. Under the next president, Fidel V. Ramos, he worked as executive secretary (colloquially known as the ''Little President'') from 1995 to 1998.
