Kiran Kumar (born 22 October 1976), known by his screen name Prem, is an Indian film director in Cinema of Karnataka, Kannada cinema. Personal life Prem was born as Kiran Kumar on 22 October 1976 in Maddur, Mandya, Maddur, in the Mandya district of the Indian state of Karnataka, to Rajappa and Bhagyamma. He is married to actress-turned-producer Rakshita and they have a son named Surya. Career Prem started his career as assistant director on the film ''Nishkarsha'' (1993), working with Sunil Kumar Desai, while he was pursuing his pre-university course. Prem Nath Malhotra, better known as Prem Nath, was an Indian actor and director, who was best known for his works in Hindi films. Nath made his debut with the film ''Ajit'' (1948), and went on to appear in over 100 films throughout his career. He was nominated for three Filmfare Awards, and later retired in 1985. Prem Menon (born 15 October 1953) is an Indian businessman, former actor and director, who has appeared in Tamil films. He became known with his role in the film '' Krodham'' (1982) and has since regularly produced and made his own projects. Career Prem Kumar Menon is the son of entrepreneur K. T. B. Menon, who had vast business interests and investments in Kuwait. Prem Menon heads company Laksola, which produces insulating materials, and his financial success prompted him to pursue other interests in Tamil films. Prem Maya Sonir (born July 14, 1961) is the Retired Sport Officer of North Eastern Railways Headquarters Gorakhpur. During the 1980 Olympics, she was one of the star members of India's hockey team which also included the Saini Sisters and Lorraine Fernandes where they defeated Austria and Poland. They came fourth missing out on a bronze medal. She was a member of the women's hockey team of India, which won the gold medal in the 1982 Asian Games held in New Delhi. Prem Mathur is the first Indian woman commercial pilot and started flying for Deccan Airways. She obtained her commercial pilot's licence in 1947. In 1949, she won the National Air Race. Early life Mathur was born on 17 January 1910. Career Mathur was rejected by eight airlines before she got a job at Deccan Airways in Hyderabad in 1947. She was offered the job at the age of 38 where she became the first Indian woman to fly a commercial plane. She received her license from the Allahabad Flying Club.
