Pregara () is a village in the City Municipality of Koper in the Littoral region of Slovenia on the border with Croatia. History In 1954, when the Free Territory of Trieste was dissolved and Zone B was assigned to Yugoslavia, Pregara (together with Abitanti, Belvedur, Brezovica pri Gradinu, Gradin, Koromači–Boškini, Močunigi, and Sirči) was originally assigned to the Socialist Republic of Croatia. In 1956 these villages were reassigned to the Socialist Republic of Slovenia. Church The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. City Municipality Of Koper
The City Municipality of Koper (; sl, Mestna občina Koper, it, Comune città di Capodistria) is one of twelve city municipalities of Slovenia. It lies at the coastline of the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Slovenia and was established in 1994. Its seat is the town of Koper. The area has been included in Coastal–Karst Statistical Region since 1995. The municipality is bilingual (Slovene and Italian). It lies right on the border with Croatia and is not connected by road to any surrounding settlements in Slovenia, only by a path to small villages on the Croatian side.
