Herbert Graham "Bert" Pratten (22 April 1892 – 11 September 1979) was an Australian cricketer. A right-handed batsman, he played first-class cricket for New South Wales between 1913 and 1915. Biography Pratten was born in Sydney on 22 April 1892. His father Herbert Edward Pratten was a jam manufacturer who was later elected to federal parliament and served as a cabinet minister. Frederick Pratten (cricketer)
Frederick Lewis Pratten, born on 13 February 1904 at Midsomer Norton, Somerset, England, where he also died on 23 February 1967, was a cricketer who played 12 first-class matches for Somerset in 1930 and 1931. A wicketkeeper and tail-end batsman, Pratten was one of several substitute wicketkeepers used by Somerset to cover the absence through ill-health of the regular wicketkeeper, Wally Luckes. Others included the ultimate non-batsman, Seymour Clark, and the opening batsman Frank Lee. Pratten played once in the 1930 season in the match against Leicestershire, not batting and taking one catch. In the 1931 season, he played in Somerset's first 10 County Championship matches, plus the match against the New Zealanders, taking in those 11 matches five catches and making five stumpings. Graham Pratten
Frederick Graham Pratten (13 December 1899 – 18 December 1977) was an Australian politician. He was a Nationalist Party member of the Australian House of Representatives for Martin from 1928 to 1929 and a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1937 to 1976, successively representing the United Australia Party (1937-1945), Liberal Party (1945-1960) and Country Party (1959-1972). Pratten was born in Leichhardt and was educated at Abbotsholme College, Sydney Church of England Grammar School and the University of Sydney, graduating with a bachelor of science in 1923. He worked in his family's firm, Pratten Bros., and subsequently took over as managing director of the business before he first entered politics. Herbert Edward Pratten (7 May 1865 – 7 May 1928) was an Australian politician. He served as Minister for Health (Australia), Minister for Health (1924–1925) and Minister for Trade (Australia), Minister for Trade and Customs (1924–1928) in the Stanley Bruce, Bruce–Earle Page, Page Government. Robert Sidney Pratten
Robert Sidney Pratten (1824–1868), was an English flautist. He played first flute for the Royal Italian Opera, English Opera, the Sacred Harmonic Society, Philharmonic, and other concerts and musical festivals. Pratten was born on 23 January 1824, the second son of a music professor. On 24 September 1854, Pratten married the German guitar virtuoso, composer and teacher Catharina Josepha Pelzer (1824-1895), later also known as Madame Sidney Pratten. Their address was 38 Welbeck Street, near Cavendish Square. Pratten was also a composer of pieces for flute and piano, and published ''Studies for the Siccama Flute'' and ''Scales and Exercises for Pratten's "perfected Flute".'' Pratten is a rural town and locality in the Southern Downs Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Pratten had a population of 205 people. History The town is named after either the settler Thomas Pratten or his son G.L. Pratten, a surveyor. It was previously known as Darkey Flat, because it was the site of an Aboriginal campsite. Darkey Flat State School opened in 1876. In 1990, it was renamed Pratten State School. It closed in 1965. St James' Anglican Church opened on Sunday 31 July 1881 at Darkey Flat. Pratten Presbyterian Church was officially opened on Monday 21 October 1901 by Reverend Kerr.
