Prashanth Menon
Prashanth Chettuvatty Menon (born 18 January 1977 in Chavakkad, Kerala) is an Indian first class cricketer. He is a right handed lower order batsman and right arm fast medium bowler. He represents Kerala in Ranji Trophy. Together with Renjith Menon and Tinu Yohannan, Prashanth Menon formed a formidable pace trio, which revived the fortunes of the Kerala cricket team during the early 21st century. Early years Prashanth was born in Chavakkad and brought up in Thrissur. He had completed his studies from St. Thomas College Thrissur where he was the Captain of the college cricket team. Playing career With his consistent performance the state selectors picked him for the Kerala state team for the year 1998–99. Chavakkad, formerly Chowghat, is a municipality in Thrissur district of Kerala state in India. It is a suburban town of Thrissur city. Chavakkad is noted for its beach and fishing. Seam Bowling
Seam bowling is a bowling technique in cricket whereby the ball is deliberately bowled on to its seam, to cause a random deviation when the ball bounces. Bowling, in cricket, is the action of propelling the ball toward the wicket defended by a batter. Kerala Cricket Team
The Kerala cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Kerala. It is in the Elite Group of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first class cricket tournament in India. It was known as Travancore-Cochin cricket team until 1957/58. Kerala has produced two Indian Test cricketers, Tinu Yohannan and S. Sreesanth. Sanju Samson has represented India in T20Is and ODIs, while Basil Thampi has a national call-up to his name. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. Tinu Yohannan
Tinu Yohannan (born 18 February 1979) is a former Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed fast medium bowler. He played first class cricket for Kerala and was the first Kerala player to play Test and one day cricket for India. He is the current coach of Kerala cricket team. A tall athlete, Yohannan was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. This was after he underwent a training session with the MRF Pace Foundation. He made his Test debut in December 2001, in the home series against England. The first Test was played in Mohali, and he dismissed both the English openers. He got his first Test wicket in the fourth ball of his very first over. Though his start was brilliant, he could not carry on with the Indian team due to a form slump.
