''Prasad'' ( ne, प्रसाद, lit=Gift) is a Nepali language social drama romance film, directed by Dinesh Raut, written by Journalist turned writer Sushil Poudel and produced by Shuvash Thapa under the banner of Shuvash Thapa Production. The film stars Bipin Karki, Namrata Shrestha and Nischal Basnet in the lead roles. ''Prasad'' was released on 7 December 2018. Plot Baburam ( Bipin Karki) and Narayani (Namrata Shrestha) are a happily married couple in a small village in Kathmandu but problems arise when they find out they can't have a baby. Ramesh (Nischal Basnet) is a friend of Baburam who appears to have his eyes on Narayani. The National Film Awards is the most prominent and prestigious award of Nepali cinema. The first National Film Award was held in 2005, in the presence of His Majesty's King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah. Bipin Karki ( ne, बिपिन कार्की, born 21 August 1982 in Bahuni, Nepal) is a Nepalese film and theatre actor known for his work in Nepali cinema. Karki began his career at a young age by appearing in stage plays with his brother Arjun Karki. Surya Kumar Neupane (born 1987) known professionally as Uttam Neupane, is a Nepali sound mixer. He is the recipient of the 5th National Film Award of Nepal for Best Sound mixing for the feature film ''Mero Euta Saathi Chha''.
