Michael Thomas Green (born July 30, 1971) is a Canadian-American comedian, show host, actor, filmmaker, podcaster, and rapper. After pursuing stand-up comedy and music as a young adult, Green created and hosted '' The Tom Green Show'', which aired on Canadian television and later on MTV between 1994 and 2000. The show became popular for its shock comedy, absurdist pranks and Green's manic persona, and influenced later series such as '' Jackass'' and '' The Eric Andre Show''. Green has also appeared in the Hollywood films ''Road Trip'' (2000), ''Charlie's Angels'' (2000), '' Stealing Harvard'' (2002), and '' Shred'' (2008). Green additionally directed, co-wrote and starred in the cult film '' Freddy Got Fingered'' (2001). He was briefly married to actress Drew Barrymore (2001–2002), who co-starred with him in ''Charlie's Angels'' and ''Freddy Got Fingered''. Pembroke is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario at the confluence of the Muskrat River (Ontario), Muskrat River and the Ottawa River in the Ottawa Valley. Pembroke is the location of the administrative headquarters of Renfrew County, though the city itself is politically Independent city, independent. It is northwest of Ottawa. History The first European settler to the area now known as Pembroke was Daniel Fraser in 1823, who squatted on land that was discovered to have been granted to a man named Abel Ward. Ward later sold the land (where Moncion's Metro Supermarket is located) to Fraser, and nearby Fraser Street is named after the family. Peter White (Canadian politician), Peter White, a veteran of the Royal Navy arrived in 1828, squatting beside Fraser on the land where Dairy Queen is now located. ''Freddy Got Fingered'' is a 2001 American surreal absurdist screwball black comedy film directed by Tom Green in his feature film directorial debut and written by Green and Derek Harvie. Green stars in the film as a childish slacker who wishes to become a professional cartoonist while dealing with his abusive father's behavior. Its plot resembles Green's struggles as a young man trying to get his television series picked up, which would later become the MTV series ''The Tom Green Show''. The title of the film refers to a plot point where Green's character falsely accuses his father of sexually abusing his brother, the eponymous Freddy. Released on April 20, 2001, by 20th Century Fox, ''Freddy Got Fingered'' was critically panned at the time of its release, with many considering it as one of the worst films of all time.
