Prakash Sharan Mahat
Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is the current spokesperson of Nepali Congress. He is former minister for foreign affairs of Nepal, assumed his office on 26 August 2016. Born in Nuwakot district of Nepal on 5 November 1959, Mahat has an active political career of more than three decades. He actively participated in democratic movement, conflict resolution, and the peace process of the country and is keen on advancing inclusive economic development agenda. Biography Since 2002, Mahat was working as a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Nepali Congress, major Democratic Party of Nepal till 2021 when he lost election for the post of party general secretary in 14th general convention of Nepali Congress. Kamal Thapa
Kamal Thapa ( ne, कमल थापा; born 4 August 1955) is a Nepalese politician belonging to Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal. Thapa, has served as a Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Affairs and Local Development. Thapa is also the president of Nepal's Hindu nationalist party, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal. Ideology He served as a Home Minister during King Gyanendra's direct rule in 2006 until the king was forced to handover power to Girija Prasad Koirala of the Nepali Congress Party and his allies with Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist). Krishna Bahadur Mahara
Krishna Bahadur Mahara is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).He was a prominent Maoist leader during the civil war. After the maoists entered the peace process, he was elected to parliament/constituent-assembly multiple times, and also became cabinet minister. Following his election to the house of representatives in the 2017 legislative election, he was elected House Speaker but resigned in October 2019 after allegations of attempted rape were made by a parliamentary staffer.
