Praja Sankalpa Yatra
Praja Sankalpa Yatra was a foot march that was undertaken by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy starting 6 November 2017, for 341 days till 10 January 2019, when he walked over 3,648 km and met around two crore people. This was done in the run up to the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. The YSR Congress Party has claimed it to be the largest Padayatra by any Indian politician till date. The Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP or YCP; ) is an Indian regional political party based in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Its president Y. S. 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 11 April 2019 for constituting the fifteenth Legislative Assembly in the state. They were held alongside the 2019 Indian general election. The YSR Congress Party won the election in a landslide, winning 151 of the 175 seats, with the incumbent Telugu Desam Party winning just 23. The Jana Sena Party entered the legislature with one seat, while the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party failed to win any seats. A padayatra ( sa, पादयात्रा, pādayātrā, journey by foot, translit-std=ISO) is a journey undertaken by politicians or prominent citizens to interact more closely with different parts of society, educate about issues concerning them, and galvanize his or her supporters. Navaratnalu are a set of nine welfare schemes introduced by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, as promised during Praja Sankalpa Yatra (political campaign tour on foot) before 2019 assembly elections. Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy (born 21 December 1972) also known as Y. S. Jagan or mononymously Jagan, is an Indian entrepreneur and politician serving as the 17th and current chief minister of Andhra Pradesh since 30 May 2019. He is the founder and president of the Indian political party, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He is also the son of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, former Chief Minsiter of Andhra Pradesh.
