Prague Classic
The Prague Classic is an annual tournament on the men's World Curling Tour. It is held annually in November at the Curling Aréna Praha Roztyly in Prague, Czech Republic. The purse for the event is Euro, €13,500, with the winning team receiving €4,500. The event has been held since 2018. World Curling Tour
The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Teams earned points in every event with the top 30 qualifying for the season ending " V.O. Cup", today known as the Players' Championship. Its first president and CEO was Lukowich. The first two events were held on the first weekend of October 1992, the Red Carpet Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan and a qualifier for the Coca-Cola Classic in Winnipeg. Gaute Nepstad
Gaute Nepstad (born 9 September 1994 in Bergen) is a Norwegian curler, originally from Ottestad in the Hamar area. He plays lead on the 2022 Norwegian champion Magnus Ramsfjell team from Trondheim. He currently lives and studies in Trondheim. Curling career Nepstad began curling at the age of 11, when he and his friends wanted to try the sport. He played on a frozen association football pitch in Ottestad, near his childhood home. Eventually, he started travelling to a club in Lillehammer with better ice conditions. In 2009, he was the runner-up at the Norwegian U17 boys championship. Nepstad was a member the Norwegian junior men's team at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 World Junior Curling Championships. Muhammet Haydar Demirel (born April 1, 2000) is a Turkish curler from Erzurum, Turkey. He currently plays third on the Turkish National Men's Curling Team skipped by Uğurcan Karagöz. Career Juniors Demirel made his international debut at the 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival, at home in Erzurum throwing third on the Turkish team, skipped by Oğuzhan Karakurt. After finishing the round robin with a 2–2 record, the team lost in the semifinals and in the bronze medal game, settling for fourth. Lukáš Klíma (born 19 February 1991) is a Czech curler. Klíma skipped the Czech junior team at two World Junior Curling Championships. At the 2011 World Junior Curling Championships he led teammates Marek Cernovsky, Samuel Mokris and Karel Klima to a 9th-place finish (2-8 record). At the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships, he led Cernovsky, Jan Zelingr and Mokris to an 8th-place finish (2-7 record). The highlight of his junior career came at the 2011 Winter Universiade. There, he led his team of Jiri Candra, Tomáš Paul and David Jirounek to a bronze medal. After posting a 6-3 round robin record, the team beat Canada in a tie breaker, then lost to Korea in the semifinal, before beating Great Britain to claim the bronze.
