Poovar is a tourist town in Neyyattinkara (tehsil) in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala state, South India. Kovalam is a region in the city of Trivandrum, around 13 km southwest of the city center, whose beaches are a tourist destination. Etymology Kovalam means "coconut grove," after the coconut trees which are common there. Neerody is a village located at the southernmost coastal tip of the Tamil Nadu state of India. It is bordered by the Arabian Sea, and the A.V.M. Canal. A road cuts the village into two.
