''The Powerpuff Girls'' is an American Superhero fiction, superhero List of animated television series, animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera (later Cartoon Network Studios) for Cartoon Network and distributed by Warner Bros. Television Studios, Warner Bros. Domestic Television. The show centers on Blossom (Powerpuff Girls), Blossom, Bubbles (The Powerpuff Girls), Bubbles, and Buttercup (Powerpuff Girls), Buttercup, three kindergarten-aged girls with Superpower (ability), superpowers. The girls all live in the fictional city of Townsville with their father and creator, a scientist named Professor Utonium, and are frequently called upon by the city's mayor to help fight nearby criminals and other enemies using their powers. Craig McCracken (born March 31, 1971) is an American animator, writer, producer, director, storyboard artist, and designer known for creating the Cartoon Network's ''The Powerpuff Girls'' and ''Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends'', Disney Channel and Disney XD's ''Wander Over Yonder'' and Netflix's ''Kid Cosmic''.
