Powerglove (band)
Powerglove is an American instrumental power metal cover band. They are known to play metal cover versions of classic video game themes. The band is named after the Power Glove, a NES controller accessory. History Formation, ''Total Pwnage'', and ''Metal Kombat'' (2003 - 2008) The band was started as a side project of the members various other bands. A melodic death metal band all the members were in disbanded, and the group decided to further develop Powerglove. The band's first recording was "Dr. Wily's Theme" from ''Mega Man 2'' in early 2003, which was followed by "Storm Eagle" from ''Mega Man X'' and the theme from ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers''. The band records their music in various locations and mixes them in a home studio. The band recorded and released its debut EP, '' Total Pwnage'', in 2005 (later re-released in 2008). Power Glove (band)
Power Glove is an Australian electronic music and synthwave duo from Melbourne, Victoria, named after the Nintendo Power Glove. They provided the soundtrack to the 1980s-influenced retro-futuristic video game '' Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon'' (April 2013). The soundtrack was met with critical acclaim. History Power Glove was formed in Melbourne as the electronic music, synthwave duo (under pseudonyms) of Michael Biehn and Michael Dudikoff. In reality, the duo consists of brothers Jarome and Joel Harmsworth. The Harmsworths chose the name "Power Glove" based on a self-described obsession with Nintendo's 1989 Powerglove commercials. The duo's music gained widespread attention with the track "Hunters" featured in the 2011 Canadian independent film ''Hobo with a Shotgun'' and the track "Vengeance" was used in the 2012 film ''The ABCs of Death''. ''Mighty Power Rangers'' (''MMPR'') is a superhero television series that premiered on August 28, 1993, on the Fox Kids programming block. It is the first entry of the ''Power Rangers'' franchise, and became a 1990s pop culture phenomenon along with a large line of toys, action figures, and other merchandise. The show adapted stock footage from the Japanese TV series ''Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger'' (1992–1993), which was the 16th installment of Toei's ''Super Sentai'' franchise. The second and third seasons of the show drew elements and stock footage from ''Gosei Sentai Dairanger'' and ''Ninja Sentai Kakuranger'', respectively, though the ''Zyuranger'' costumes were still used for the lead cast in these two seasons. DragonForce are a British power metal band from London, England. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, and are known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics and retro video game-influenced sound. DragonForce's current lineup comprises Li, Totman, vocalist Marc Hudson, drummer Gee Anzalone and bassist Alicia Vigil. Herman Li (; born 3 October 1976) is a Hong Kong-born British musician who is one of two lead guitarists for the power metal band DragonForce. Li has played with the band based in England since it was formed in 1999 by Li along with Sam Totman, who both of them are also the remaining original members of the band. Before DragonForce he was in the black metal band Demoniac. Early life Herman Li was born on 3 October 1976 in Hong Kong and moved to France, then to England during his teenage years.
