The Power Smashers was a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Premier Volleyball League. The team was owned by the city government of Laoag. Jovie Prado
Jovielyn Grace Prado (born July 30, 1996) is a Filipino volleyball player. She is currently playing as an Outside Hitter for the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the Premier Volleyball League. Career Prado played for the Arellano Chiefs as an Outside Hitter in the NCAA. In 2017, she played for the United Volleyball Club in Philippine Superliga. She also played for the Power Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League where she became the captain of the team. In 2018, she played and became the captain of Tacloban Fighting Warays in the 2018 PVL Reinforced Conference and 2018 PVL Open Conference. In 2019, she transferred in Petro Gazz Angels where they won the 2019 PVL Reinforced Conference championship title and 2019 PVL Open Conference silver medal. In 2021, she played for the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors after the team transferred from PSL to PVL. In 2022, after the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors not joined the 2022 PVL Open Conference, Prado played for the PLDT High Speed Hitters. ...

2017 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference
The Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference was the first conference of the Premier Volleyball League (28th conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference started on April 30, 2017 and concluded on June 13, 2017. All elimination round games were played at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan while the semifinals and Finals games were held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. The women's tournament was supposed to feature the use of foreign reinforcements, however, they were initially unable to play due to difficulty in securing their international transfer certificates (ITC) from the FIVB. On May 17, 2017, Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI) confirmed that the FIVB has approved the ITC requests for the imports. The imports began to play on May 18, 2017. Shakey's V-League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The Spikers' Turf has served as the men's counterpart of the league. History Shakey's V-League (2004–2016) The Premier Volleyball League was established in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. led by Jun Bernardino, Ricky Palou, Moying Martelino, and Rhea Navarro who were businessmen previously known for being men's basketball patrons. The 2018 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference is the sixth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''33rd conference of the former Shakey's V-League''). The conference started on September 22, 2018 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference
The 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the fourth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (31st conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference will start on April 27, 2018 with a Grand Fans Day at the Trinoma Activity Center, Quezon City, 9 days before its opening ceremonies and games on May 6, 2018 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City, Philippines. PLDT returns as PayMaya after two years of absence in the league and newcomer teams, Tacloban Fighting Warays and Petro Gazz Angels are expected to join the league.
