Potenza Calcio S.r.l., formerly A.S.D. Rossoblù Potenza F.C. or just Potenza F.C., is an Italian football club based in Potenza, Basilicata. It currently plays in the Serie C. Potenza Calcio was founded in June 2012 as F.C.D. Rossoblu Potenza, by a merger of two amateur teams Controsenso Potenza and Atella Monticchio. The club had claimed as a phoenix club of Potenza S.C., which was first founded in 1919, adopting an explicit logo after reaching the professional status in 2018. Potenza S.C.was de-registered from Italian Football Federation in April 2012 after played their last season in 2010–11 Eccellenza Basilicata. Potenza (, also , ; , Potentino dialect: ''Putenz'') is a ''comune'' in the Southern Italy, Italian region of Basilicata (former Lucania). The 2014–15 Serie D was the sixty-seventh edition of the top level Italian non-professional football championship. It represented the fourth tier in the Italian football league system. It consisted of 167 teams, including the admitted Arzachena, Rieti and by repechage Biancoscudati Padova, Robur Siena and Sondrio, divided into six 18-team divisions, two 20-team divisions and a 19-team division. The Promozione (, "promotion") is the sixth level in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Promozione level progresses to their closest regional league in the Eccellenza level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the 7th level of Italian football, the Prima Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level. History in brief In the past, from 1904 to 1912, the Seconda Categoria had been the second level of Italian local regional tournaments in which main teams used to field apprentices and reserves. This is a list of division winners and playoff matches in the regionally organized Eccellenza 2007–2008, which is the 6th level of Italian football. A total of 36 teams are promoted to Serie D for the 2008–09 season. The first-placed team from each of the 28 divisions is promoted directly. The seven winners of the national playoffs are also promoted. Finally, the 36th spot is reserved for the winner of the Coppa Italia Dilettanti.
