Post Present Medium
Post Present Medium (or PPM) is an Independent Record Label l started and run by Dean Allen Spunt, also from the band No Age. Spunt started the label in 2001 with the release of a 7" by Portland/Olympia post punk band The Intima. Initial funding came from a settlment Spunt received as a teenager, when he got into a car accident with a member of the Backstreet Boys. PPM has released records from artists that include Mika Miko, Abe Vigoda, Barr, Best Coast, No Age, Gun Outfit, Silk Flowers, John Wiese, Eric Copeland, Infinite Body, and SFV Acid. PPM has at least 75 releases to date. Releases typically get 500 to 1000 pressings. The Corpus Clock, also known as the Grasshopper clock, is a large sculptural clock at street level on the outside of the Taylor Library at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, in the United Kingdom, at the junction of Bene't Street and Trumpington Street, looking out over King's Parade. It was conceived and funded by John C. Taylor, an old member of the college. It was officially unveiled to the public on 19 September 2008 by Cambridge physicist Stephen Hawking. Brontez Purnell (born July 2, 1982) is an American writer, musician, dancer, and director based out of Oakland, California. He is the author of several award-winning books, including ''Since I Laid My Burden Down'' (2017), ''100 Boyfriends'' (2022), which won a Lambda Literary Award for Gay Fiction, and the punk zine ''Fag School.''
