Portokalli
Portokalli (translation: Orange) is an Albanian weekly night sketch comedy and variety show filmed in Tirana to be specific in Kashar in front of a live audience. The format of the show includes stand-up comedy, sketch comedy, and live music making the show similar to the " NBC" show "Saturday Night Live". Portokalli is known to make fun of everyday problems through humor and satire. It also makes fun of political figures such as Sali Berisha, Edi Rama, Hashim Thaçi, Ramush Haradinaj, Lulzim Basha and others. Top Channel
Top Channel is a national commercial television network based in Tirana, Albania, founded by Dritan Hoxha in 2001. In January 2008, Top Channel was awarded national frequency coverage by making it the third such channel in Albania. In 2009, it was the first Albanian channel to become available in 16:9 widescreen high-definition television for selected programs. Since September 2003, Top Channel has been present on satellite by broadcasting all over Europe through DigitAlb, and North America through TVALB and Shqip TV. The channel is available through IPTV in Europe and North America, and through local cable in Switzerland. Gentian Zenelaj
Gentian Zenelaj (born 13 August 1977) is an Albanian actor and comedian mostly known by his appearance in Portokalli (2004-2007) and in Apartment 2XL (2008–2013). He began his career in 2004 in the show Portokalli with the group ShBLSh, when this group was the most preferred sketch in all shows. After 4 season in Portokalli the group ShBLSh broke up and anyone go in their procupetions. After three seasons on Apartment 2XL, the show was canceled, but with the same actors the producer and TV broadcaster created the Sketch Show Albania. Sketch Show aired for two seasons, but this show did not succeed. Then the show changed again on Apartment 2XL and now is airing his sixth season. Eneda Tarifa
Eneda Tarifa (born 31 March 1982) is an Albanian singer, actress and television host. She represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, after winning the 54th edition of Festivali i Këngës. Life and career Tarifa was born in Tirana, Albania on 30 March 1982. She began her career in 2001, participating in Kënga Magjike with the song "Ika larg". In 2003, she participated at Festivali i Këngës 42 with the song "Qëndroj", and managed to qualify to the final. In 2006, Tarifa took part in Kënga Magjike with the song "Rreth zjarrit tënd", and finished 4th in the competition with 154 points. She was also awarded the Çesk Zadeja Prize. The following year, Tarifa took part in Festivali i Këngës 46 with the song "E para letër". In the final, she was awarded 11 points and placed tenth out of seventeen. Sali Berisha
Sali Ram Berisha (; born 15 October 1944) is an Albanian conservative politician and former cardiologist who served as the second President of Albania from 1992 to 1997 and Prime Minister from 2005 to 2013. He is also the current chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania which has been disputed. On 9 September 2021 Berisha was expelled by party chairman Lulzim Basha from the Democratic Party's Parliamentary Group due to legal issues with the US Department of State. Lulzim Basha
Lulzim Basha (; born 12 June 1974) is an Albanian politician who served as the chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, the main opposition party, from 2013 to March 21, 2022 when he stepped down from the leadership of the party. Basha was elected as chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania in September 2013 following the Democratic Party's electoral loss which sent them in the opposition. In 2021, he became the first opposition leader in Albanian history to lose two general elections in a row, although Basha claimed the losses came as a result of significant electoral interference by the ruling Socialist Party.
