Porthmadog Football Club ( cy, Clwb Pêl Droed Porthmadog, also abbreviated Port) are a football (soccer), football team, playing in the Cymru North, the second tier of the Welsh football pyramid. The club was founded in 1872 and plays at Y Traeth, Porthmadog, which accommodates 3,000 spectators (800 seated). Y Traeth
( en, The Beach) is a multi-use stadium in Porthmadog, Wales. It is currently used mostly for football matches as the home ground of Porthmadog F.C. The stadium has a capacity of 2000 people, with 500 seated. The Traeth saw its largest crowd in recent years during the season 1993/4, when the last game of the season against Bangor City F.C. attracted more than 2,500 spectators. Planning permission was granted in December 2009 for a new stand at the "Quarry End". Clayton Blackmore
Clayton Graham Blackmore (born 23 September 1964) is a Welsh former international footballer. He was a combative player known for his attacking free kicks and a utility player who excelled in defence, but could play equally well in midfield. Blackmore began his professional career at Manchester United in 1982, having progressed through the club's youth ranks. After twelve years and 186 league appearances, he switched to Middlesbrough on a free transfer, and made 53 league appearances in five years, whilst also having a brief loan spell at Bristol City in 1996. Having left Middlesbrough in 1999, he had short spells at Barnsley, Notts County and Leigh RMI over the next couple of seasons, before a much longer stint at Bangor City commenced in 2000. Osian Roberts
Osian Roberts is a Welsh football coach and former player who was most recently assistant manager at Crystal Palace. In 2014 he was described in the media as "the most influential man in Welsh football." Early life Roberts was born in Anglesey, and was brought up in Bodffordd on the island. Career Roberts was a central midfielder, and captained the Welsh Schools side. He played in North Wales for Bangor City, Bethesda Athletic and Llangefni Town, before moving to the United States at the age of 19 after receiving a scholarship to attend Furman University. At Furman, he was named Southern Conference player of the year in 1986 and 1988. He later played in the American Professional Soccer League for the New Mexico Chiles, where he was player-manager. After returning to Wales, he became Anglesey Football Development Officer in 1991.
