Porter Houses And Armstrong Kitchen
Porter Houses and Armstrong Kitchen is a set of two historic homes and a kitchen building located near Whitakers, Edgecombe County, North Carolina. The first Porter dwelling dates to the last quarter of the 18th century, and is a -story frame dwelling with a gambrel roof. It was restored in 1994. The second Porter dwelling also dates to the last quarter of the 18th century, and is a one-room, -story frame dwelling with a gable roof. It measures approximately 16 feet wide and 24 feet long. Also on the property is a frame kitchen building built about 1850 and remodeled about 1900. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. Porter House New York
Porter House Bar and Grill is an upscale steakhouse located on the fourth floor of the Deutsche Bank Center near Masa and Per Se. The restaurant was opened by Michael Lomonaco in 2006, the former executive chef of Windows on the World restaurant atop the World Trade Center's North Tower, which was destroyed by the September 11 attacks. Porter House specializes in serving USDA Prime dry-aged beef but also has a large selection of fish, poultry, and wild game. The restaurant, designed by Jeffrey Beers International was named “Best Steakhouse in New York” by ''New York Magazine'' in 2018. Porter House New York can seat approximately 250 people. Peck-Porter House
The Peck-Porter House is a historic house at the corner of Main and Middle Streets in Walpole, New Hampshire. Built in 1839, it is an unusually elaborate and sophisticated example of Greek Revival architecture, given its small-town setting. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. Description and history The Peck-Porter House stands just south of Walpole's small commercial district, on the west side of Main Street at its northwest corner with Middle Street. It is a -story wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof and clapboarded exterior. Its front facade is three bays wide, sheltered by a two-story portico supported by fluted Doric columns. The columns rise to an entablature and a fully pedimented gable with a rounded fan at its center. The side elevations have matching single story porches supported by fluted columns. General Porter House
The General Porter House is a historic house at 32-34 Livermore Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Built about 1751, it is a well-preserved example of a Portsmouth gambrel-roofed double house, and has been home to a number of prominent individuals. Now housing residential condominiums, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Description and history The General Porter House is located on the east side of Livermore Street, a short residential street facing Haven Park south of downtown Portsmouth. It is a -story wood-frame structure, with a gambrel roof and clapboarded exterior. A "Portsmouth double house", it is five bays wide and two deep, with additions on either side, and an ell to the rear.
