Porridge Radio
Porridge Radio are a British indie rock band formed in Brighton in 2015. They are fronted by vocalist, songwriter and lead guitarist Dana Margolin. The other members are keyboardist Georgie Stott, bass guitarist Maddie Ryall and drummer Sam Yardley. ''The Guardian'' listed them among their top 40 new artists of 2018 and described their music as 'slacker indie'. They performed a live session for Marc Riley's show on BBC Radio 6 Music in May 2019 and again in February 2020. They announced signing to US independent label Secretly Canadian in December 2019. In January 2020, they announced their second album and their label debut, '' Every Bad'', which was released on 13 March 2020 to critical acclaim. Dalston
Dalston () is an area of East London, in the London Borough of Hackney. It is northeast of Charing Cross. Dalston began as a hamlet on either side of Dalston Lane, and as the area urbanised the term also came to apply to surrounding areas including Kingsland and Shacklewell, all three of which being part of the Ancient Parish of Hackney. The area has experienced a high degree of gentrification in recent years, a process accelerated by the East London line extension, now part of London Overground, and the reopening of Dalston Junction railway station, part of London's successful bid to host the 2012 Olympics. Rate Your Music (often abbreviated to RYM) is an online collaborative database of music releases and films. Users can catalog items from their personal collection, review them, and assign ratings in a five-star rating system. The site also features community-based charts that track highest-rated releases. History Rate Your Music was founded on December 24, 2000, by Seattle resident Hossein Sharifi, who is still active on the site under the username "sharifi". Lala Lala is the indie rock project of Chicago-based songwriter Lillie West (guitar, vocals). Biography Lillie West was raised in London and moved with her family to Los Angeles when she was a teenager. She would soon relocate to Chicago to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and become involved with the city's underground music scene. A long time fan of music, it wasn't until West began college that she would begin to create music of her own after being encouraged by a friend to purchase a guitar from Craigslist.
