Porrentruy
Porrentruy (, fc, Poérreintru , german: Pruntrut) is a Swiss municipality and seat of the district of the same name located in the canton of Jura. Porrentruy is home to National League team, HC Ajoie. History The first trace of human presence in Porrentruy is a mesolithic tool that was found in the back yard of the Hôtel-Dieu. Scattered, individual objects have also been found from the neolithic, the late Bronze Age and the Iron Age. The first known settlement in what became Porrentruy goes back to the Roman era. In 1983, the ruins of a Gallo-Roman temple were discovered in the cemetery on the north of town, and Roman coins were found there. Near the town, a kilometer long (0.6 mile) section of the Augst- Epomanduodurum (now Mandeure) Roman road was discovered. Bonfol railway station (french: Gare de Bonfol) is a railway station in the municipality of Bonfol, in the Switzerland, Swiss canton of Jura. It is the northern terminus of the standard gauge Porrentruy–Bonfol railway line of Chemins de fer du Jura. Regio (Swiss Railway Train)
Regional rail, also known as local trains and stopping trains, are passenger rail services that operate between towns and cities. These trains operate with more stops over shorter distances than inter-city rail, but fewer stops and faster service than commuter rail. Olten railway station (german: Bahnhof Olten) is a major hub railway station in the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland, at the junction of lines to Zürich, Bern, Basel, Lucerne and Biel. As a result, Olten is a railway town and was also the site of the main workshop of the Swiss Central Railway (german: Schweizerische Centralbahn), which became a major workshop for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS). It is the southern terminus of the Basel Regional S-Bahn S3 and S9 lines, the northern terminus of the Lucerne S-Bahn S8 line, and the western terminus of the Aargau S-Bahn S26 line. Biel/Bienne Railway Station
Biel/Bienne railway station (german: Bahnhof Biel; french: Gare de Bienne) serves the bilingual municipality of Biel/Bienne, in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. It is a major railway junction on the Swiss railways network. It lies on one of the two busiest major railway lines between the northeastern (St. Gallen/ Zurich) and southwestern Switzerland (Geneva); the other goes via Bern. Gare De Delle
Delle station (french: Gare de Delle) is a railway station in the commune of Delle, in the French department of Territoire de Belfort, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It is located at the border between France and Switzerland and is the junction of the standard gauge Delémont–Delle line of Swiss Federal Railways and the of SNCF. The station originally opened in 1868, but service was interrupted between 1992–2006, and not fully resumed until 2018. The station opened on 29 June 1868; cross-border service to Switzerland began on 23 September 1872. Passenger service between Belfort and Delle ceased on 26 September 1992, and the station closed in 1995. A joint Franco-Swiss effort to re-open the line led to the resumption of cross-border service in 2006; service to Belfort resumed in 2018. RegioExpress (RE) is a fast regional train service in Switzerland, run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) or other railway companies (such as TILO, BLS, tpf, transN, THURBO or RhB). It is comparable to the Regional-Express in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. Its speed is considerably faster than regional trains at the same level, as it does not stop at all stations served by the regional trains. Nonetheless, it is slightly slower than InterRegio trains. A standard-gauge railway is a railway with a track gauge of . The standard gauge is also called Stephenson gauge (after George Stephenson), International gauge, UIC gauge, uniform gauge, normal gauge and European gauge in Europe, and SGR in East Africa.
