The Districts
The Districts are an American rock band originally from Lititz, Pennsylvania. The group formed in 2009 while members Rob Grote, Mark Larson, Connor Jacobus, and Braden Lawrence were all still in high school. History The Districts were formed in 2009 by four high schoolers from Lititz, a small town in central Pennsylvania. The group self-released two EPs and a full-length album, ''Telephone,'' over the course of 2011 and 2012. Late in 2013, after a stint in viral success from a live studio session, The Districts signed with Fat Possum Records, and released an EP in early 2014 consisting of three remastered tracks from their previous releases and two new songs. By 2014 the group had relocated from Lititz to Philadelphia. In February 2015, the group's second full-length album, ''A Flourish and a Spoil,'' produced by John Congleton, also appeared on the Fat Possum label. Fat Possum Records is an American independent record label based in Water Valley and Oxford, Mississippi. At first Fat Possum focused almost entirely on recording previously unknown Mississippi blues artists (typically from Oxford or Holly Springs, Mississippi). John Congleton
John Congleton is an American Grammy Award-winning record producer, engineer, mixer, writer and musician. In addition to his production work, Congleton has fronted the alternative rock band the Paper Chase, and writes music for a newer project entitled the Nighty Nite. He has also written music for various other projects, including MTV's '' Jackass'', the Discovery Channel, '' Friday Night Lights'', ''Evil Lives Here'', and several Halloween sound effects/music CDs. In January 2016 it was announced that Congleton and the Nighty Nite would be releasing a full-length studio album on April 1 of that year. Headroom Studios
Headroom Studios is a music recording studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was originally started by Kyle Pulley and Joe Reinhart in 2008 in a room in a live/work artist warehouse collective, located in North Philadelphia, until it moved to its current location in a commercial building in the North Philadelphia neighborhood of Kensington. Pulley and Reinhart were college classmates who were active in the Philadelphia DIY punk scene who decided to partner after graduation in order create the studio to start their careers in music. In addition to being producers, Pulley and Reinhart are active musicians playing in Thin Lips (Pulley) and Hop Along (Reinhart).
