Popstars (Dutch TV Series)
Popstars was a singing competition series in the Netherlands. The first season started on 22 August 2008. A second season was aired for 2009-2010 and third season aired in 2010-2011. The winners in season 1 were RED! made up of the three finalist winners Brandi Russell, Steffie Zoontjes and Deon Leon. Wesley Klein won in season 2 and Dean Saunders in season 3. The precursor of these shows was the Dutch version of ''Popstars: The Rivals'' broadcast on RTL 4 in 2004 hosted by Beau van Erven Dorens. The series was won by the boy band Men2B (male category) and girl band Raffish (female category). Both disbanded in 2006. Patricia Paay
Patricia Anglaia Margareth Paaij (born 7 April 1949), best known as Patricia Paay, is a Dutch singer, radio host, glamour model and television personality. In the Netherlands, she is well known for her musical career, which spans over four decades. She is also regularly featured on Dutch television and in Dutch tabloid media. Singer Yvonne Keeley is her sister. In 1984, Paay was the first glamour model in the Dutch edition of ''Playboy''. In 2009, Paay posed for the December issue of the Dutch version of the magazine at age 60, making it the third time she had posed for ''Playboy''. "You and I Both" is a song by American musician Jason Mraz, released as the second single from his debut album, ''Waiting for My Rocket to Come'' (2002), on June 16, 2003. You Raise Me Up
"You Raise Me Up" is a song originally composed by the Norwegian-Irish duo Secret Garden. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf Løvland, and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. After the song was performed early in 2002 by the Secret Garden and their invited lead singer, Brian Kennedy, the song only became a minor UK hit. The song has been recorded by more than a hundred other artists including American songwriter Josh Groban in 2003 and Irish boy band Westlife in 2005 whose versions were hits in their countries. Welsh singer Aled Jones and all-female Irish ensemble Celtic Woman have also recorded successful covers. Background Løvland composed an instrumental piece in 2002 and titled it "Silent Story". He later approached Irish novelist and songwriter Brendan Graham to write the lyrics to his melody, after reading Graham's novels. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. Nancy Coolen
Nancy Anna Francina Coolen, known as Nance (born 10 September 1973 in Asten, North Brabant, Netherlands) is a Dutch TV host who was previously the lead-singer of a Eurodance group called Twenty 4 Seven. At the age of 15, Nance was discovered in a discothèque by dance-producer Ruud van Rijen. He created the dance-act Twenty 4 Seven, in which Nance performs along with rapper Tony Dawson-Harrison, more commonly known by his stage name, Captain Hollywood. When the latter left the project and was replaced by rapper Stay C the act scored its biggest hits, like ''Slave to the Music''. In 1996 Nance decided to leave Twenty 4 Seven to start up a solo-career, which led to a couple of small hits in The Netherlands.
