Poole is a census-designated place (CDP) in Buffalo County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Kearney, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the CDP was 19 at the 2010 census. History Poole was founded ''circa'' 1889. It was named for rancher W. W. Poole. A post office was established at Poole in 1906, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1982. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. Loup River
The Loup River (pronounced /lup/) is a tributary of the Platte River, approximately long, in central Nebraska in the United States. The river drains a sparsely populated rural agricultural area on the eastern edge of the Great Plains southeast of the Sandhills.
