Pooja Sharma (born ) is an Indian entrepreneur. She is the first woman in her village to work outside the home. She set up a self-help group that employs 150 women in a bakery, and has received awards in recognition of her achievements, including the Nari Shakti Puraskar, India's highest civilian honour for women. Career Pooja Sharma lives in the village of Chandu, near Gurugram in the Indian state of Haryana. She went to school until the education offered became co-educational, and her parents made her leave school rather than have her educated with boys. She married in 1999. In 2005, Sharma and her family of a husband and three children had financial difficulties, so Sharma became the first woman in the village to work outside the home. She was first employed as a primary school teacher, then in 2010 took on a haveli which was owned by her father-in-law. Pooja Sharma is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in Hindi television. She made her acting debut in 2012 with an episodic role in ''Teri Meri Love Stories''. Sharma is best known for her portrayal of Draupadi in '' Mahabharat'' and Mahakali/Parvati in '' Mahakali — Anth Hi Aarambh Hai''. Career Pageantry Sharma was one of the top 10 finalists of Femina Miss India 2006 edition. She also won the subtitle 'Miss Beautiful Hair' in the pageant. ''Vaada'' (translation: ''Promise'') is a 2005 Indian Indian romantic mystery thriller film directed by Satish Kaushik. The film stars Arjun Rampal, Amisha Patel and Zayed Khan in lead roles. The story revolves around a murder amidst a convoluted love-triangle. It released on 7 January 2005. It's a remake of Sabhash starring Parthiban, Divya Unni and Ranjith. Plot Rahul Verma and Karan Srivastav are business partners. The film begins with the discovery of the body of Pooja Sharma, Rahul's wife.
