Ponornytsia
Ponornytsia ( uk, Понорниця, russian: Понорница) is an urban-type settlement in Novhorod-Siverskyi Raion, Chernihiv Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Ponornytsia settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: The settlement is located on the banks of the Bahachka River, in the drainage basin of the Desna. It lies on the western border of Mezynskyi National Nature Park. Until 18 July 2020, Ponornytsia belonged to Korop Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernihiv Oblast to five. The area of Korop Raion was merged into Novhorod-Siverskyi Raion. Novhorod-Siverskyi ( uk, Новгород-Сіверський ) is a historic city in Chernihiv Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Novhorod-Siverskyi Raion, although until 18 July 2020 it was incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion. Highway M02 (Ukraine)
Highway M02 is a Ukraine international highway ( M-highway) connecting the M01 near Kipti with Bachivsk on the border with Russia, where it continues as the M3 to Moscow. The entire route is part of European route E101 and the section from Hlukhiv to the Russian border is part of European route E391. The M02 stretches through both the Chernihiv Oblast and the Sumy Oblast and ends at the border checkpoint at Bachivsk which is part of Hlukhiv Raion. Mezynskyi National Nature Park
Mezyn National Nature Park ( uk, Мезинський національний природний парк) is a national park of Ukraine that covers forest and floodplain terraces of the Desna River in the northern part of the country. The park was created to balance the protection of sensitive ecological and archaeological sites, recreation, and rural agriculture. Administratively, the park is in Novhorod-Siverskyi Raion of Chernihiv Oblast, about 150 km north of the regional city of Kharkiv.
