Ponale is a station on Line 5 of the Milan Metro. History The works for the construction of the first section of Line 5, which includes Ponale station, began in September 2007, and it was opened on 10 February 2013. Station structure Ponale is an underground station with two tracks in one tunnel and, like all the other stations on Line 5, is wheelchair accessible. It is located at the intersection of Viale Fulvio Testi, Via Ponale and Via Chiese The Chiese, also known in the Province of Brescia as the Clisi, is a Italian river that is the principal immisary and sole emissary of the sub-alpine lake Lago d’Idro, and is a left tributary of the Oglio. Line 5 is an underground rapid transit line in Milan, Italy, part of the Milan Metro. The line, also known as M5 or the Purple Line (''Linea Viola'' in Italian), is long and goes through the city from the north to the north-west. It opened in stages between 2013 and 2015. Fulvio Testi (August 1593 in Ferrara – 28 August 1646 in Modena) was an Italian diplomat and poet who is recognised as one of the main exponents of 17th-century Italian Baroque literature. He worked in the service of the d'Este dukes in Modena, for whom he held high office, such as the governorship of Garfagnana. The Chiese, also known in the Province of Brescia as the Clisi, is a Italian river that is the principal immisary and sole emissary of the sub-alpine lake Lago d’Idro, and is a left tributary of the Oglio. The river rises from the Adamello in Trentino and runs through the Val di Fumo and the Val di Daone, forming the reservoirs of Lago di Malga Bissina and Lago di Malga Boazzo. At Pieve di Bono it enters the lower valleys of Giudicarie, receiving the waters of the '' torrente'' Adanà. Further south it flows through the Lago d'Idro near Baitoni before running down into Lombardy and the Province of Brescia. After leaving the lake the river runs through the Val Sabbia as far as Roè Volciano.
