The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Having been classified at various levels throughout its existence, it operated at Class A-Advanced from 1990 until its demotion to Single-A following Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The league temporarily operated for the 2021 season as the Low-A Southeast before reassuming its original moniker in 2022. Joseph William Frazier (January 12, 1944November 7, 2011), nicknamed "Smokin' Joe", was an American professional boxer who competed from 1965 to 1981. He was known for his strength, durability, formidable left hand, and relentless pressure fighting style and was the first boxer to defeat Muhammad Ali. Henry Gordon Mackenzie (July 9, 1937 – August 12, 2014) was an American professional baseball player, manager, coach and scout. He appeared in 11 Major League games played during the final weeks of the season for the Kansas City Athletics, but collected only three singles and one base on balls in 25 plate appearances and never returned to the big leagues as a player.
