Politics Of Changsha
The Politics of Changsha in Hunan province in the People's Republic of China is structured in a dual party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China. Changsha Municipal Government today is deeply influenced by its long past. Changsha's political system reflects the two major influences on the historical development of China: on the one hand, its legacy as an over 2,000 years feudal system region, and on the other, the powerful influence exerted by China's neighbor to the north, the Soviet Union. The Mayor of Changsha is the highest-ranking official in the People's Government of Changsha or Changsha Municipal Government. Changsha (; ; ; Changshanese pronunciation: (), Standard Mandarin pronunciation: ) is the capital and the largest city of Hunan Province of China. Changsha is the 17th most populous city in China with a population of over 10 million, and the third-most populous city in Central China, located in the lower reaches of Xiang River in northeastern Hunan. Changsha is also called Xingcheng (星城, 'Star City') and was once named Linxiang (临湘), Tanzhou (潭州), Qingyang (青阳) in ancient times. It is also known as Shanshuizhoucheng (山水洲城), with the Xiang River flowing through it, containing Mount Yuelu and Orange Isle. National Supervisory Commission
National Supervisory Commission of the People's Republic of China is the highest anti-corruption agency of the People's Republic of China, at the same administrative ranking as Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate. Its operations are merged with the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Communist Party. The National Supervision Commission was formed at the first session of the 13th National People's Congress in 2018. Yi Lianhong (; born September 1959) is a Chinese politician, and the current Communist Party Secretary of Zhejiang. Originally from Hunan province, Yi rose through the ranks as an academic at the provincial party school; he later served as party secretary of Yueyang and party secretary of Changsha, before being transferred to Shenyang. Chen Run'er (; born October 1957) is a Chinese politician who served as the Communist Party Secretary of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from October 2019 to March 2022. He formerly served as Governor of Henan Province, the Deputy Communist Party Chief of Heilongjiang Province, and Party Chief of the cities of Changsha and Xiangtan in his home province of Hunan. Zhang Yunchuan (; born 1946) is a politician of the People's Republic of China, and the former secretary of CPC Hebei committee. Yang Baohua (; born September 1947) is a former Chinese politician from Hunan province. Xia Minghan
Xia Minghan (; 1900 – 30 March 1928) was an early leader of the Chinese revolution, revolution martyr, and a pioneer of Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was arrested and executed by the Kuomintang (KMT) in 1928. Early life Xia was born in 1900, in Zigui County, Hubei Province to Xia Shaofan (夏绍范) and Lu Yunfeng (陆云凤). Xiao Jingguang
Xiao Jinguang (; Former name Xiao Yucheng 萧玉成 Nickname: Man Ge 满哥) (January 4, 1903 – March 29, 1989) was a revolutionary and military leader, one of the main leaders of the Red Army and the People's Liberation Army, and one of the ten senior general officers of the PLA. Central Commission For Discipline Inspection
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) is the highest internal control institution of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), tasked with enforcing internal rules and regulations and combating corruption and malfeasance in the party. Since the vast majority of officials at all levels of government are also Communist Party members, the commission is in practice the top anti-corruption body in China. The modern commission was established at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee in December 1978.
