Polish Water polo Championships ( pl, Mistrzostwa Polski w piłce wodnej mężczyzn) is an annual Water polo competition organised by the Polish Swimming Federation(PZP), which serves as the Polish national championship for the sport. First water polo championships in Poland were organized in 1925. Despite being really rare even a few years ago, this sport is at the moment getting more and more popular all around Poland. First, historic champion was Jutrzenka Krakow. Currently, the champion is Arkonia Szczecin. Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. Teamwork, tactical thinking and awareness are also highly important aspects. Water polo is a highly physical and demanding sport and has frequently been cited as one of the most difficult to play. Polonia Bytom
Polonia Bytom () is a Polish football club based in Bytom, founded in 1920, two times Polish Champions. The team currently plays in the III liga (as of 2022–23). History Beginnings Polonia was founded on 4 January 1920 in the Upper Silesian city of Bytom, during the hectic months of the Silesian Uprisings. In late 1922, however, as a result of the Upper Silesia plebiscite, Bytom remained part of Germany and the club ceased to exist. In May 1945, numerous players and officials of another Polish club, Pogoń Lwów, arrived in Bytom and decided to revive Polonia. On 17 May 1945, the team played its first game in over two decades, defeating Warta Poznań 3–2. Stilon Gorzów Wielkopolski
Stilon Gorzów Wielkopolski, is a Polish football club based in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. History The club was founded in 1947. In the 1991–92 Polish Cup, they reached the semi-finals. In 1997, the club was relegated from the III liga, currently known as the II liga, which forced them to withdraw from the IV liga, now known as the III liga, for a year due to a horrible financial situation.
