Polish Affairs ( pl, Polskie Sprawy) is a Polish conservative-liberal parliamentary group formed on 29 April 2021 by two opposition MPs and one ruling party MP. The leader of the circle is Agnieszka Ścigaj. Two former government representatives, Zbigniew Girzyński and Małgorzata Janowska joined Polish Affairs on 8 July 2021. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Andrzej Sośnierz
Andrzej Stanisław Sośnierz (born 8 May 1951) is a Polish politician and physician and a current member of the Sejm. Political career He was elected to Sejm on 25 September 2005, getting 54,876 votes in Katowice, standing for Civic Platform. He left the party after criticising the leadership's negative attitude towards a potential coalition with Law and Justice (PiS). After being expelled, in January 2006, he joined PiS, for whom he ran in the 2007 election. In 2010, he left PiS to join Poland Comes First, when that party was created. Elected in 2015 as a representative of Poland Together. Reelected in 2019. Polish Coalition
The Polish Coalition ( pl, Koalicja Polska, KP) is a political alliance in Poland. It is led by the Polish People's Party. It was formed in 2019. In the 2019 parliamentary election, the Polish Coalition placed fourth, winning 30 seats in total. Its 2020 presidential candidate was Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who placed fifth in the first round. The coalition adheres to principles of Christian democracy, conservatism, and agrarianism. It has been described as centrist and centre-right. The United Right ( pl, Zjednoczona Prawica, ZP) is a conservative political alliance in Poland. It came to power following the 2015 parliamentary election. Initially founded as a parliamentary group between the Poland Together and United Poland parties, its composition has changed several times since its inception and is now dominated by the ruling political party of Poland, the Law and Justice. A voivodeship sejmik ( pl, sejmik województwa), also known as a provincial or regional assembly, is the regional-level elected legislature for each of the sixteen voivodeships of Poland.#Machnikowski, Machnikowski et al., p. 21 Sejmiks are elected to five-year terms, decided during nationwide Local elections in Poland, local elections. The Senate ( pl, Senat) is the upper house of the Polish parliament, the lower house being the Sejm. The history of the Polish Senate stretches back over 500 years; it was one of the first constituent bodies of a bicameral parliament in Europe and existed without hiatus until the final partition of the Polish state in 1795.
