The Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR), also known as the Bangsamoro Police, is the regional office of the Philippine National Police meant to cover the whole Bangsamoro autonomous region. History Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao The history of the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region is traced back to the establishment of the Fourth Philippine Constabulary Zone of the Philippine Constabulary in 1971. In the same year, the headquarters of the constabulary unit, Camp Brigadier General Salipada K Pendatun was set up which would later be the main camp of the PRO BARMM. In 1990, the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) was formed and the Police Regional Office Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO ARMM) was activated the following year. The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM; fil, Pambansang Komisyon ng Pulisya) is an agency attached to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) responsible for the administration and control of the Philippine National Police (PNP). It has the authority to administer police entrance examination, to investigate police anomalies and irregularities, and to summarily dismiss erring police officers. The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ( tl, Rehiyong Awtonomo ng Muslim Mindanao; ar, الحكم الذاتي الاقليمي لمسلمي مندناو ''Al-ḥukm adh-dhātī al-'iqlīmī li-muslimī Mindanāu''; abbreviated as ARMM) was an autonomous region of the Philippines, located in the Mindanao island group of the Philippines, that consisted of five predominantly Muslim provinces: Basilan (except Isabela City), Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
