Poison Pen (2014 Film)
''Poison Pen'' is a 2014 Irish comedy feature film based on a screenplay by author Eoin Colfer, directed by Steven Benedict, Lorna Fitzsimons and Jennifer Shortall. Synopsis P.C. Molloy (Lochlann Ó Mearáin), a Booker Prize–winning author, is coerced into writing for a tabloid gossip magazine. Cultures clash and sparks fly as the cerebral Molloy finds himself immersed in the world of vain celebrities and he begins to fall for his boss (Aoibhinn McGinnity). Poison Pen asks questions about the nature of celebrity, integrity and deception. Eoin Colfer
Eoin Colfer (; born 14 May 1965) is an Irish author of children's books. He worked as a primary school teacher before he became a full-time writer. He is best known for being the author of the Artemis Fowl (series), ''Artemis Fowl'' series. In September 2008, Colfer was commissioned to write the sixth instalment of the ''Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'' series, titled ''And Another Thing... (novel), And Another Thing ...'', which was published in October 2009. In October 2016, in a contract with Marvel Comics, he released ''Iron Man#In other media, Iron Man: The Gauntlet''. Sophie Vavasseur (born 10 May 1992) is an Irish actress best known for her award-nominated role as Evelyn Doyle in the Republic of Ireland, Irish film ''Evelyn (2002 film), Evelyn''. ''Film Ireland'' is a cultural cinema magazine published from 1987–2013 by Filmbase (aka Film Base) Centre for Film and Video in Dublin, Ireland. ''Film Ireland'' magazine ceased publication in 2013, but maintains an online presence. History ''Film Ireland'' began publication in 1987 under the title ''Filmbase News''.
