Eric Pohlmann (german: Erich Pohlmann; born Erich Pollak; 18 July 1913 – 25 July 1979) was an Austrian theatre, film and television character actor who worked mostly in the United Kingdom. He is known for voicing Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the primary antagonist of the ''James Bond'' series, in the films '' From Russia with Love'' and '' Thunderball''. Early life Born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, Pohlmann was a classically trained actor who studied under the renowned director Max Reinhardt. He appeared at the Raimund Theater, and supplemented his income by working as an entertainer in a bar. Marcus Dale Pohlmann (born 1950) is an American political scientist, author, and professor. His research focuses primarily on American government and politics, specifically, African-American politics, Urban politics in the United States, urban politics, and political economy. He is an emeritus professor of political science at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. Anthony Pohlmann
Anthony Pohlmann was a Hanoverian soldier who served in the armies of the British East India Company and Daulat Scindia. Life Pohlmann arrived in India as a sergeant in a Hanoverian regiment serving the East India Company in Madras. He deserted his regiment in 1792 or 1793 and took employment in the army of the Maratha prince Daulat Scindia. He served under the French mercenary Benoît de Boigne, who promoted him to captain in 1794. By 1795, he was in command of a battalion of infantry, serving alongside the Anglo-Indian military adventurer James Skinner. In early 1799, Pierre Cuillier-Perron – who superseded de Boigne as the overall commander of Scindia's troops – promoted Pohlmann to colonel and gave him command of Scindia's second brigade. Pohlmann was instrumental at defeating the Rajput armies of Jodhpur and Jaipur at the Battle of Malpura. Eric T. Poehlman (born c. 1956), an American scientist in the field of human obesity and aging, was the first academic in the United States to be jailed for falsifying data in a grant application. He had published fraudulent research alleging hormone replacement injections as a therapy for menopause, when in fact they had no proven medical benefits at all. He joined the University of Vermont (UVM) College of Medicine in 1987 as an assistant professor, later working for three years at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He eventually returned to UVM as a full professor. Margarete Poehlmann
Viktoria Margarete Poehlmann (29 June 1856 – 25 December 1923) was a German educator and politician. Poehlmann was born in Tilsit, present-day Sovetsk (Russia), in the Prussian province of East Prussia. She became a teacher, founding a private school for girls in 1888, which she led as headmistress until 1920. She was a prominent figure in the German Women's Movement during the German Empire. She led the East Prussian federation of Women's Associations. At the end of World War I, she joined the German People's Party (''Deutsche Volkspartei'', or DVP). In the elections for the Prussian Constitutional Convention, the first time women were allowed to vote, she gained a seat in parliament. She retained her seat in 1921 and was a member of the Prussian ''Landtag'' until her death in 1923.
