Fabrizio Poggi (pronounced Pohjee) (born 1 July 1958) is a singer and harmonica player. A Grammy Awards nominee who has received the Hohner Lifetime Award, and has been two times Blues Music Awards nominee, Jimi Awards nominee, and during his long career has recorded twenty two albums. Antonio Poggi
Antonio Poggi (1806 – 15 April 1875) was an Italian operatic tenor who had an active international career from 1827–1848. He is best remembered for creating roles in the world premieres of operas by Gaetano Donizetti and Giuseppe Verdi. He was married to soprano Erminia Frezzolini from 1841–1846. Life and career Born in Castel San Pietro Terme, Poggi studied singing with Andrea Nozzari and the cello with Maestro Coticelli. He made his professional opera debut in 1827 at the Paris Opera as Rodrigo in Gioachino Rossini's ''La donna del lago''; a performance which was not well received. However, on 27 December 1827 he had a major success at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna as Peter I of Russia in Giovanni Pacini's ''Il falegname di Livronia''. Claudio Javier Poggi (born 7 October 1963) is an Argentine accountant and peronist politician. From 2017 to 2021, he sat in the Argentine Senate representing San Luis, the province he led as governor from 2011 to 2015. He currently serves as a National Deputy since 2019, and previously held the same office from 2003 to 2009. Life and times Poggi was born in Alcira Gigena, a rural community near Río Cuarto, Córdoba. Giorgio Poggi (born 26 August 1981 in Albenga) is an Italian sailor who specializes in the Finn class. He has been selected to compete for the Italian sailing team at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and has come close to an Olympic medal race in the Finn fleet (finishing in eleventh place). Currently, Poggi is ranked nineteenth in the world for his respective sailing class by ISAF, following some of his successes at the Finn Gold Cup, World Championships, and the World Cup series. Ansaldo Poggi
Ansaldo Poggi was born in Villafontana di Medicina (Bologna), 9 June 1893 and died in Bologna, 4 September 1984. He demonstrated his talent for the making of stringed instruments at a young age. His father, also an artisan, musician and amateur violinmaker, encouraged his son, steering him toward the arts. After the end of World War I he dedicated himself to the profession, taking up the craft again alongside his father while at the same time graduating from the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna. In 1921 he met up with the famous luthier Giuseppe Fiorini, of whom he was an adored disciple. In 1923 he won his first silver medal with a viola at the National Competition in Rome. In 1925, 1927 and 1929 he was awarded many gold medals, which resulted in his no longer being permitted to compete. Federico Hernán Poggi (born 10 January 1981) is an Argentine football midfielder who plays for Villa Dálmine. Gianni Poggi (October 4, 1921 – December 16, 1989) was an Italian tenor, particularly associated with the Italian repertory. Biography Born in Piacenza, Poggi studied first in Bologna with soprano Valeria Manna, and later in Milan with baritone Emilio Ghirardini. He made his debut in Palermo, as Rodolfo, in 1947.
