Erik Balling
Erik Balling (29 November 1924 – 19 November 2005) was a Danish TV and film director. He created two of Denmark's most popular TV-series, ''Matador'' and '' Huset på Christianshavn''. His feature film '' Qivitoq'' (1956) was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, and for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film. His 1962 film ''Den kære familie'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. Together with Henning Bahs, he also created the hugely popular series of ''Olsen Gang'' feature films. Biography Balling started working for the largest and oldest Danish film production company, Nordisk Films Kompagni, in 1946. He later became the boss of the company. Holger Hansen (1929–2015) was a Danish politician, academic and jurist from Venstre who served as the minister of environment and minister of Greenland in the cabinet of Poul Hartling from 1973 to 1975. Trained as an agronomist, he received a law degree and worked as an academic after retiring from politics. Early life and education Hansen was born in Tågeby near Mern on 16 May 1929. He graduated from a high school in Frederiksborg and went to England to study agriculture in 1952. He attended Lyngby agricultural school in the period 1952–1953. Karl Stegger
Karl Stegger (11 January 1913, in Aarhus – 13 April 1980, in Frederiksberg) was a Danish actor, who appeared in 157 films which makes him the second-most used Danish film actor after Ove Sprogøe. He mostly appeared in comedy, but also had some serious roles e.g. as the vicar in ''Præsten i Vejlby'' (based on the Steen Steensen Blicher drama). He became famous in 1955 when he replaced Ib Schønberg as the father in the popular ''Far-til-Fire''-film series (Father of Four). Later he appeared in several of the ''Olsen-banden''-movies and the TV series ''Matador'' as Consul Holm.
