Podvirne ( uk, Подвірне; ro, Chișla-Salieva) is a village in Dnistrovskyi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. It belongs to Mamalyha rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Podvirne belonged to Novoselytsia Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast to three. The area of Novoselytsia Raion was split between Chernivtsi Raion and Dnistrovskyi Raions, with Podvirne being transferred to Dnistrovskyi Raion. Novoselytsia Raion
Novoselytsia Raion ( uk, Новоселицький район, ro, Raionul Noua Suliță ) was a raion (administrative district) in Chernivtsi Oblast, (oblast, province) in the west of Ukraine. The western part of its territory lied in the historical region of Bukovina, the eastern part in Bessarabia, while one village (Boianivka) was part of the Hertsa region. The center of the raion was the city of Novoselytsia. Borys Buryak
Borys Buryak (born 25 October 1953 in Podvirne, Chernivtsi Oblast, in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian painter. His works depict Ukrainian landscapes and urban views, or draw on the traditions of Ukrainian iconography. Buryak graduated from the Ivan Trush College of Arts in 1974, and from the Lviv Academy of Arts in 1979. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1991 he won the National Union of Artists Prize (Kyiv, 1991), and was recognised in the international "New Names" awards in Moscow in 1992. Dnistrovskyi Raion
Dnistrovskyi Raion ( uk, Дністровський район) is a raion (district) of Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. It was created in July 2020 as part of the reform of administrative divisions of Ukraine. The center of the raion is the urban-type settlement of Kelmentsi. Three abolished raions, Kelmentsi, Khotyn, and Sokyriany Raions, part of abolished Novoselytsia Raion, as well as the city of Novodnistrovsk, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance, were merged into Dnistrovskyi Raion. Chernivtsi Oblast
Chernivtsi Oblast ( uk, Черніве́цька о́бласть, Chernivetska oblast), also referred to as Chernivechchyna ( uk, Чернівеччина) is an oblast (province) in Western Ukraine, consisting of the northern parts of the regions of Bukovina and Bessarabia. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality.
