Chettipalayam Road, SH 162 is an arterial road in city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. This road connects the city with Coimbatore Integrated Bus Terminus and Podanur Junction. It is a four lane road from Podanur to Chettipalayam Flyovers In Chettipalayam Road, the Podanur flyover was opened in 2018 to reduce traffic congestion by the railway crossing in the Podanur-Palakkad railway line. The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation is the civic body that governs the city of Coimbatore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the second largest municipal corporation in Tamil Nadu only after the Greater Chennai Corporation with an area of 246.75 sq km. Podanur or Pothanoor or Pothanur is a neighbourhood in the city of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India. Its history goes back to the creation of a major railway station and colony during British rule. Ukkadam Bus Terminus, popularly known as Ukkadam Bus Stand, is one of the bus terminus of Coimbatore City.
