Plumb Bob
A plumb bob, plumb bob level, or plummet, is a weight, usually with a pointed tip on the bottom, suspended from a string and used as a vertical reference line, or plumb-line. It is a precursor to the spirit level and used to establish a vertical datum. It is typically made of stone, wood, or lead, but can also be made of other metals. If it is used for decoration, it may be made of bone or ivory. The instrument has been used since at least the time of ancient EgyptDenys A. Stocks. A fishing sinker or knoch is a weight used in conjunction with a fishing lure or hook to increase its rate of sink, anchoring ability, and/or casting distance. Fishing sinkers may be as small as 1 gram for applications in shallow water, and even smaller for fly fishing applications, or as large as several pounds or considerably more for deep sea fishing. Plummet (musicians)
Plummet was an American trance duo from Orlando, Florida. The act consisted of producer/remixer Eric B. Muniz (aka DJ X) and female vocalist Cheramy Burgess. Burgess died in 2015. They came to prominence in 2003 with their club cover version of Plumb's "Damaged", which took on a life of its own when it became a hit in the UK, peaking at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo later saw success on home soil in the United States. Sherwin Tjia
Sherwin Tjia is a Canadian artist, and medical illustrator. He is the author of several graphic novels. His latest ''Plummet (novel), Plummet'' was listed on the CBC News, ''CBC'''s list of recommended winter reads, for 2020. According to ''The Globe and Mail'', in 2010, Tija was known as the creator of Toronto's strip spelling bee scene. In strip spelling bees players who spell words wrong have to start removing some of their music, accompanied by burlesque strip-tease music. In 2014 the ''New York Daily News'' described how Tija introduced porn karaoke to the New York area. In porn karaoke small teams have to improvise dialogue sung over silent clips of pornography.
