Plume (Air Episode)
The '' Air'' anime series is based on the visual novel '' Air'' by the Japanese visual novel brand Key. The episodes, produced by the animation studio Kyoto Animation, are directed by Tatsuya Ishihara, written by Fumihiko Shimo, and features character design by Tomoe Aratani who based the designs on Itaru Hinoue's original concept. The story follows the main character Yukito Kunisaki, a traveler who arrives in a quiet seaside town during summer since he does not have any more money to continue on his journey for now. He is on a search for the "girl in the sky" that his now-deceased mother told him about and was searching for too; Yukito has taken it upon himself to find this girl to finish his mother's journey. Yasuhiro Takemoto
was a Japanese animator and television director, television and film director. He worked at Kyoto Animation for almost his entire animation career after joining the company in 1996 until his death in 2019. Career After graduating, he entered at the prestigious Yoyogi Animation Institute, a specialized animation academy located in Yoyogi, Shibuya, Tokyo. Upon graduation, he joined the animation studio Kyoto Animation, where he became a director. His first major job as a director came in 2003 with ''Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu''. Yutaka Yamamoto
is a Japanese anime director from Osaka Prefecture. He is known for his incendiary behavior on Twitter and for being fired from Kyoto Animation and Ordet, the latter of which he helped co-found. Biography As a member of Kyoto Animation, Yamamoto rose to prominence within the company after serving as assistant director on '' Munto 2: Beyond the Walls of Time''. In 2006, he was selected to be the series production director of ''The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'', after which he became well known among anime fans for the ending dance theme he choreographed. He was to make his full directorial debut with '' Lucky Star'', but was replaced after four episodes due to "performance issues". Lia (singer)
Lia (born December 20; also stylized in all caps as LIA) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Lia recorded "Tori no Uta" for Key's 2000 visual novel ''Air'', which was reused in its 2005 anime adaptation and became influential in popular culture. She additionally recorded two other tracks for the visual novel, which were commercially successful. Lia has continued to work with Key by performing songs for their 2004 visual novel ''Clannad'' and its 2008 anime adaptation, ''Clannad After Story'', the 2005 adult visual novel '' Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life'', as well as the opening themes for Key's original anime series ''Angel Beats!'' in 2010 and ''Charlotte'' in 2015.
