Plumbo is a Norwegian rock and folk rock band from Sande, Vestfold, Norway. The three-piece band consists of Lars Erik Blokkhus (vocals, guitar), Tommy Elstad (bass) and Hasse Rønningen (drums), with assistance from supporting musician Glenn Hauger on accordion and flute. Their repertoire includes Norwegian songs with a traditional twist, rock music elements and international appeal. The name Plumbo is taken from a brand of drain cleaner sold in Norway. Ola Nordmann (song)
"Ola Nordmann" is a Norwegian language song by the Norwegian band Plumbo. The music was written by band member Lars Erik Blokkhus and the lyrics is by another band member Glenn Hauger. It is about the traditional Norwegian character Ola Nordmann. The song was a follow up to Plumbo's successful single "Møkkamann" that topped VG lista, the official Norwegian Singles Chart. Plumbo took part in the 2012 Melodi Grand Prix in a bid to represent Norway in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. On 28 January 2012, at the semi final 2 stage held in Arena Larvik in Larvik, the song came first in 10 participating songs, winning the right to be featured in the Final 10 section. Møkkamann
"Møkkamann" is a major hit by the Norwegian rock / folk band Plumbo from their third studio album ''Råkk'n Råll Harry'' that was released in 2010. In 2011, it became their biggest single the 2011 hit "Møkkamann" from the album that reached No. 1 in the Norwegian Singles Chart. The band received a trophy based on votes from the general public. Spellemannprisen In a ceremony held on 14 January 2012, for the annual Spellemannprisen, "Møkkamann" won the prize for best hit of the year. Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards in English, is a Norwegian music award presented to Norwegian musicians. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. Sande is a former municipality in Vestfold County, Norway. Its administrative centre is the village of Sande i Vestfold. Mats Wester
Mats Wester (born September 1, 1964 in Botkyrka, Sweden) is a musician and plays the nyckelharpa. Mats studied at Adolf Fredriks Musik Skola in Stockholm. Together with the singer Håkan Hemlin he operates the musical group Nordman. During Nordman's long pause Mats created another group together with Py Bäckman (lyrics) and Elenor Ågeryd (vocals). Mats has also written a song for the group Garmarna "En gång ska han gråta" (Once he will cry). As many times before Py Bäckman wrote the lyrics to the song. Ole Evenrud (born November 17, 1962) is a Norwegian pop artist and teenpop producer. He had his big time in the 1980s under the name Ole i'dole. After the 1980s he has operated as a musical producer. Rune Rudberg (born 23 August 1961) is a Norwegian singer originating from Trøgstad in Østfold singing dansband music. He has a hectic live music career with more than 5000 concerts in Norway. He is best known for his song "Ut mot havet" in 1988. The same titled album peaked VG-lista albums chart.
